For Your Wine-Loving Valentine
Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it–and if you have the opportunity to host a small gathering (maybe just a few couples), consider making it a wine tasting party! If you choose to limit your tasting to red wine, your theme is halfway done! Make it easy on yourself by choosing easy accompaniments–full flavored cheeses, artisan breads, and maybe a spinach artichoke dip or some other warm yumminess.
You can buy a kit for your wine party, or make one yourself (that sounds like a fun weekend project) using felt or velvet and a bit of cording. Buy the metal numbers for your bottles from a craft store, like Michaels, or use iron-on numbers for a quick custom finish. If you are a super crafty vixen, sew your wine bags from faux suede in coordinated colors!
As for the writing, create your own form and use Valentine or vino-related clip art (cupids and hearts and grapes, oh my!) to enhance your theme.
An evening filled with wine and friends beats the pants off a box of chocolate anyday!
